Stresses of finding a wedding/reception site

If you have recently gotten married or planning a wedding, then you understand the frustration.


I am trying to find one that is all inclusive for catering of food and the florist. Or at least just the caterer. One that I have seen was $3100 for 6 hours and that price DOESN'T include anything!!! I've emailed other places and one that emailed me back told me that they didn't have a "set prices or packages". That they based the prices around the bride and groom and what they wanted.

(THEY meaning the bride and groom.)

I'm sitting here reading and rereading the email that this man sent to me. It doesn't make sense, seeing as how I FOUND the prices on the site...granted a couple of days after I sent the email to this particular venue. It's not adding up to me. The email completly screamed JUMP SHIP!!! GONNA GET OUTTA HAND VERY QUICKLY!!! DON'T DO IT!!!

My gut feelings are usually right on the money.

So, guess what??! I will NOT be going to visit this place with my mom and fiance.

If you can't give me a detailed list of prices and/or packages for your venue, inclusive or not, then you don't deserve to see my smiling face. I have always heard and read that if these wedding venues don't give you a detailed list or flat out refuse to give you one until you come up there, then they are running you around. A good place of business, espically a wedding/reception venue, should ALWAYS give you the price(s) that you requested from them!!!!!

Good Cry's

I had a good cry earlier. The cry came from my ticket (read my last post titled UH OH). Sometimes you just have to cry. Cry for no reason at all. Cry because you are frustrated. Cry to help releave some pain that you have. I've cried for all of the reasons I just gave. I go in search of songs that'll help me cry. Crying releaves soooo many things. Tension that's built up...pain from a death or breakup...even for no reason. Music helps with that. Trust me on that one. It will always make you feel better. And as much as I hate to admit it, once in a while I do like to listen to love songs and cry. Sad songs. Now I feel a bit better. I just wanna have a happier and less stressful life...but it'll be hard to find. A happy and stress free or less stressful life seems like it only hapens in my dreams or only hapens to the rich. :-/

Kinda sad too

About a month ago, my general manager quit. I had a panic attack while at work once I had his departure confirmed.  I needed that man more than he will EVER know. I still need him. I really do. He made the days better. He listened to me. He cared about me. Was I spoiled? Yes I was.  Is the fact that I was spoiled why, even a month later, the reason I still have a hard time. Maybe...just a little.  The worst is that I trusted this man. I trusted him SO much. And he trusted ME. He seemingly cared about me more than I care to admit.  I also have found out where he now works. I won't say it here. At least, not right now. Give him some time to settle in.  I only hope good things for him. I really do. Granted, I feel like this man broke me. Even though I feel that way, I will ALWAYS wish him the best.
